Regarding bursary application II

Sama has replied me again. So efficient. So good, it beats waiting one to two weeks for a response... It's also gret that i have started to take initiative to call people up to ask for enquiries.  I never had the courage to do such stuff before.   I was always not confident. but this calls for desperate measures.. gonna have to email lecturers soon...

Hi hi,

If you can, try to get it sort out before 8 June cos’ college is shut for moving to new campus.
I suggest you approach direct contact of your teaching lecturers cos’ they can write good comments on your engagement.
If they all say no, then I can write for you.
Ask DOtter to write – sure she will do good one for you.
You want to ask Yarmie?
Good to have a studio & ccs lecturer.

What think you?

Sama

hello Sama!

I have sent an email to the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan regarding the arts and cultural bursary and the admin staff called back saying that they do give bursaries to students pursuing com d but they are quite selective about it. Therefore it would require

"Original letter of recommendation from the employer, dean or head of department for senior practioner in the same profession "

and

"Deadline to hand in the form to Division of Academic Administration is by 10 June 2007"

should i ask you to write the letter of recommendation as well as the other teachers who have taught me or what do you think i should do?

i have another question to you- from now till 10 june, would the school be open? how am i supposed to hand it in?

Thanks for your help will be looking forward to your reply again!

regards,

LDW

Hey,

First thing first, you must call them and check... Never make guessing to such important matter.
You can approach lecturers who have taught you for recommendation letter. Also check the application form how many recommendation they need.
Hope this help.

Best,
Sama

hello Sama!

i have just seen the mail regarding the singapore hokkien huay kuan bursary and was wondering if my course(com d) is applicable because they stated "arts and cultural pratitioner" and me and my friends do not understand that term(we are guessing fine artists only).

if level one students next sem are applicable for this bursary, then who do i refer to to write a letter of reccomendation? could i ask you or other lecturers who have taught me, or must i ask Jallen?

i will be looking forward to your reply soon! thank you!

LDW
